| Objective: To compare the levels of IL- 2 and IL- 6 between P rimary acute angle-closure glaucoma and normal controls at perioperati ve. To discuss the correlations between cytokine levels and optic nerve damage of primary acute angle-closure glaucoma. Methods: Patients in the acute primary angle-closure glaucoma h ospitalized in the Department of Ophthalmology in Yongchuan Hospita l of Chongqing Medical University from May, 2013 to October, 2014 were collected as the case group(Group A), Group A was divided into three groups of minor, medium and severe(a, b and c) according to t he degree of optic nerve injury, and patients with cataract hospitalized within the same period were selected as the control group(Group B). The concentrations of IL-2 and IL-6 in the peripheral blood of researc h objects were determined with the double-antibody sandwich enzymelinked immunosorbent assay(ELISA), differences in the mass concentr ation of cytokines between the two groups of A and B and the three groups of a, b and c were compared, and the correlation between the le vel of cytokines in the bodies of patients in the acute primary angle-cl osure glaucoma and the degree of optic nerve injury was analyzed. Results: Concentration of IL-2 and IL-6 in experimental group ar e significantly lower than that in the control group, P<0.05. Concentr ation of IL-2 and IL-6 in glaucoma patients severe injury of optic nerv e is significantly lower than those in mild injury of optic nerve, P<0.05. To discuss the correlations between cytokine levels and optic nerve damage in a,b,and c group by mult-variable linear return analysis, diffe rent level of IL-2 hasstatistical significance. Conclusions: Primary angle-closure glaucoma patient, level of I L – 2 and IL – 6 were lower than the normal. IL-2 may be associated with glaucomatous opticneuropathy. |
