Now there are numerous researches on social intelligence at home and abroad,but the measuring tools about social intelligence mainly focus on the traditionalquestionnaires. Situational judgment test is an emerging way to select talents in recentyears. Due to the characteristics of social intelligence, such as situationality, so it issuitable for measuring by situational judgment test in particular. The paper tries to useSituational Judgment Test, an emerging way, to select talents in order to develop thetest for college students situational judgment. The paper gives detail introduction andanalysis about current situation on the test for college students situational judgment.Moreover, it elaborates the advantages of situational judgment test for measuringsocial intelligence. From the point of methodology, this paper also provides the dataof the research and application on Situational Judgment Test. From the point ofpractice, it offers the reference on the evaluation of social intelligence and measuringtools as well.The research that is based on social intelligence theoretical model raised byGardneradopts literature analysis, interviewing method, Delphi method, QuestionnaireSurvey. It draws up the test for college students situational judgment about socialintelligence on the foundation of the depth interview to35students. Moreover, theresearcher also verified the interior consistency reliability, resurvey reliability,structure validity and criterion validity. The result shows that the scale of the interiorconsistency reliability is more than0.9. Probing into structure validity by equation ofstructure Lisrel, the paper finds that each index of verification factor analysis by thefirst and second order is all ideal fitting. The value of CFI、IFI、NNFI are greater than0.9and the value of RMAEA is less than0.08. The correlation coefficient betweenthe criterion validity of peer rating scale and the research scale is0.544. Therefore, theabove datum show that the test developed by this research can be regarded as one toolof measuring the current college students’ social intelligence.The thesis has investigated the current situation of450college students’ socialintelligence according to “The situational test of behavior in college students’ socialintelligence”. The result indicates that the college students of the time commonly havepreferable ability of self-recognition and interpersonal communication, but can’t showwell in the aspects of self-examination, self-control in mood, interpersonal recognition and verbal exposition. Meanwhile, college students in present day are commonlyexperienced at bearing oneself and they are very independent, yet they haven’t doneenough in the aspect of social responsibility, so it’s necessary for college students tostrengthen the cultivation of responsibility. As for female college students, the meanscore of them in the aspects of independence and flexibility in dealing with affairs ishigher than male college students, however, in the aspect of self-control in mood,male college students are prior to female students. As for the aspects ofself-recognition, interpersonal communication, verbal exposition, independence andflexibility in dealing with affairs, the mean score in humanity and social science majorstudents is higher than science and engineering major students. And the mean score ofsocial intelligence features in non-only child is higher than the only child in the aspectof self-examination, self-control in mood, interpersonal recognition and independence.Besides, the influence of birthplace only lies in the aspect of self-cognition andself-examination, and there isn’t obvious difference in the aspect of interpersonalinteraction and social maturity. As to how to improve social adaptation capacity andcultivate social intelligence for college students, all of these results offer thetheoretical reference and foundation.
