| Toni Morrison is so far the first black woman writer who won the Nobel Prizefor Literature, her special gender and identity prompted her to write for the blackwomen in the bottom of society and to show the living state of black women. In orderto retrieved the lost discourse right of the black women, Morrison appeals for femalevoice by female writing, and through deconstruct the unreliable narrative voice of themale narrators, she conveys the covered female discourse. In Morrison’s works, thegeneration of the black female speech is reflected by the female portrait. From thecrushing sound of women mutilated body and withered soul, to the completeself-express of the awakening of the subject consciousness and self-redemption, allshow Morrison’s connotation. Based on intensive reading and thinking, and on thebasis of the theory of narration and feminism, this thesis attempts to make a specificand detailed analysis on the female speech and narrative strategies in Morrison’sworks. Morrison’s works integrate the authorial voice and collective narrative voice,and thus construct the female narrative authority, which made an adequate preparationfor the preliminary implementation of female speech,and furthermore developed abroader space for the black women. |
