This interpretation report comes from the joint conference on Jury System between Gansu ProvincialSuperior People’s Court and the U.S. Court for the District of Columbia. The interpreter records and analyzesthis practice in details. This report mainly includes six parts: introduction, task description, interpretation process,case study, quality control and feedback, conclusion. The first part mainly describes background and theme ofthis conference. The second part is the sources and major tasks. The third part includes interpretation plan,pre-interpretation preparation, glossary formulation, emergency measures and interpretation measures. Thefourth part is case study which mainly records the problems in the interpretation and the skills the author uses inthe interpretation. The fifth part is the brief introduction of interpretation quality control, feedback from clientsand interpreter’s self-assessment. At the end of this report is conclusion that the interpreter ought to improveinterpretation quality from knowledge accumulation, interpretation techniques, mentality and responsibilityenhancement.
