Attitude has always been seen as a core concept in social psychology, andmeanwhile attitude is one of the important topics in the study of psychology,including the relationship between attitude and behavior also graduallybecome the hot study object of psychology. Many scholars have pointed outthat attitude in predicting the emergence and development of individualbehavior has an important role. With the innovation of methods andtechniques, attitude research has entered a new stage of development,gradually from the explicit level into implicit level.Under the background of China’s traditional culture, helping behavior, asa kind of noble character is advocated. But in the discuss about helpingbehavior, domestic related research focuses on moral character, and in thefield of psychology to the discussion of helping behavior is relatively small.At the same time, the research on helping behavior mainly focused on theexternal behavior of measurement, and the implicit aspects of the study isrelatively small, therefore, this study by discussing implicit attitude to enrichrelated research.Using college students as subjects, this study adopts the GNATtechnology to measure individual implicit attitude to help others, at the sametime, through the comparison between the experimental group and controlgroup, with evaluative conditioning paradigm (EC) as a major means ofdetection, detecting whether EC program can change implicit attitude. Theresearch is composed of two experiments:Experiment1: the GNAT program was used to measure college students’level of implicit helpful attitude.Experiment2: evaluative conditioning paradigm (EC) was used to studythe implicit attitude changeThe results show that:1、In experiment1, the implicit helpful attitude of college students is measuredwith GNAT, the experimental results show that the college students’ implicit helpful attitude is now actively; Implicit helpful attitude between boys andgirls have no significant differences.2、In experiment2, use evaluative conditioning paradigm (EC), in theexperimental group, the participants’ implicit helpful attitude tend to benegative, and the subjects in the control group of implicit helpful attitude tendto be positive, the contrast can be seen from the results, the implicit helpfulattitude of college students exist on the effect of evaluative conditioning (ECeffect); At the same time, in the experimental group and control group, theimplicit helpful attitude between boys and girls have no significant differences.But you can see from the concrete data, the boys’ implicit helpful attitude ismore negative than female students, namely, EC greater influence on boys.
