A Research Of Inspiring Students’ Motivation On English Learning

Learning motivation is the reason for students to keep on study, it is important to stimulatestudents’ motivation for culturing an overall development student in English teaching. Englishplays an important role in our education, learning English not only can improve the students’oral English expression but also their Communication ability. Thereby enhancing the student’ssocial competitiveness, they can meet the needs of the development of the times. But in theactual learning process, many teachers and scholars ignore the research of English learningmotivation for vocational colleges’ students in varying degrees. In English teaching, teachershave to face these students who are lack of interest and intrinsic motivation to study English.Therefore, how to effectively stimulate vocational students’ motivation and enthusiasm oflearning English has become the primary problem for most scholars and teachers.This article uses three vocational colleges in Jilin Province as research object under thecurrent education system background, by using a questionnaire survey on students’ motivation tolearn English. Then analyzing the vocational college students in Jilin Province are lack ofmotivation in learning English, getting the influence factors about the motivation of learningEnglish for vocational college students in Jilin Province, finding out the problems existing in thewhole English teaching process, in order to highlight the importance of motivation in Englishlearning. We can propose practical strategy suggestions of English learning motivation tostimulate vocational college students by combining the conclusion of the above studies and thecharacteristics of their own development of vocational students in Jilin Province Hoping theproblems solved in this article could effectively improve the efficiency of students’ Englishlearning, and enabling the students to learn English actively.
