The studies and researches about the ancient bronze utensils has been a populararcheological focus since1970s. Gansu is one of the earliest areas where bronzeutensils were unearthed. The merging and collision between the neighboring culturesenabled Gansu to be the pioneering area to accept the early western culture in ancientChina. Among all the unearthed bronze samples, two discoveries have been agreed tohave significant influence in and out of China. One discoveries took place in sometombs in Bai Cao Po in Ling Tai County between late1960s and mid1970s. Thesetombs belong to the high rank military leaders of Western Zhou Dynasty Hei Bo andXi Bo. These items include all-purpose ritual utensils and many ancient weapons. Theritual equipments are all delicately designed and elegant looking, most of which haveengraved characters on. The weapons have attracted far more attention with theirunique shape and exquisite craftsmanship.The highly developed Bronze Culture and horse raising greatly expanded theeconomy and trading. Considering the quantity and the variety of the excavatedbronze samples in Gansu province, this thesis is endeavored to discuss about thediscovered bronze utensils in the areas of Long Dong, He Huang, Long Nan as well asHe Xi.
