In this paper,Chongqing University of Technology′s foreign students learningChinese behavior as the research object,through the correlation analysis of thebehavior′s four levels and explore the correlation between learning behavior andacademic record during the process of learning Chinese of the overseas students.Thisstudy used quantitative combining qualitative research methods and during the differentstages of the research,the author used different methods,for example:questionnaires,case studies,daily observations,group interviews.Final classification the learningbehaviors in the process of foreign students learning Chinese:what are positive learningbehaviors,what are passive learning behavior,and then,we can optimize the specificlearning behavior,proposed some comments and suggestions to promoting teachingChinese as foreign language.This thesis is divided into six parts:The first chapter introduces the researchbackground, the significance of the research,these terms of this section constitutes isthe foundation and the focus of the entire study,this chapter also describes thetheoretical basis of this study and the existing problems,including the field of secondlanguage acquisition and learning behavior research,the author finds and reads theinformation on these two areas of literature,learns and absorbs the advantages andstrengths of previous researchers,to find the lack of previous studies and avoid theirdefects;Chapter II introduces the formulate and the access of the questionnaire,theprocess of the investigation and the results analysis of the statistical,this chapter alsointroduces the principles,standards and reference of the survey questionnaire used,detailing the course of this investigation; and analysis the results of statistical data,overall grasp the basic situation of learning Chinese overseas student in the ChongqingUniversity of Technology,especially the aspects of learning behavior,in this chapter,author want to compare the relationship between learners of learning behavior,andstudy the relationship between different levels of the learning behavior and academic record,and try to compare the learners′differences in learning Chinese betweenChinese cultural circle and non-Chinese cultural circle;Chapter III is the dailyobservation and case studies,mainly record the daily observation of overseas student,analyze the behavior of students learning Chinese,case studies are detailed byindividual students records,it is the supplement and explore in depth of the results ofthe survey and daily observations; Chapter IV is the findings, this chapter iscomprehensive comparison the result of the questionnaires, daily observation,conducted comparison,then come to the findings;Chapter V is the revelation andrecommendations of teaching Chinese as foreign language,in this chapter,the authormade some improvements,corrective methods and strategies for the passive learningbehavior or problems found in the investigation,Chapter VI is this study limitations,mainly introduces the shortcomings of this research.
