Research On Mukden Tongshantang’s Charitable During Late Qing Dynasty And Early Republic Of China(1881—1931)

The Mukden Tongshantang was built in1896, is shengjing general Yiketange, putthe various charities, which were created by general Zuo Baogui who was sacrificed inthe sino-japanese war, are under control of a new name for "Tongshantang", which halladdress in Mukden Huaiyuanguan outside the Gaotai temple alley,(389zhongshan road,the Red Cross hospital shenhe area in shenyang today), is the largest charity in theprovincial capital. from then on, it depends on their own houses, shops temple assets,utilization of land rent and military consortium donor funding, the crowds donor funding,to continuously expand and development. At first it has the porridge factory, habitat place,vaccinia department, parenting baby hall, limited department, righteousness school, sixdepartments totally, on the basis of this six departments Tongshantang growing up. Butafter “the September18th incident”, Mukden Tongshantang is tightly controlled by Japan,which become to the Japanese imperialist invaders tool outfits and ease ethnictensions,the donation list of Mukden Tongshantang even have big war criminalsOkamura Neji’s name, in this section will not be discussed in this article. So this articlemainly discusses the Mukden province tongshantang’s development, raising funds, andthe charity relief from1881to1931，and summary the historical influence, experienceand lessons from the charity of Mukden Tongshantang, in order to benefit our society.
