Work is one of the most important areas in the adult’s life. A person pursuit the success of his career and at the same time the maximization of benefit is what a enterprise what.In this process, the enterprise cann’t be get it goal without employers who are all have a positive,fulfilling state of motivation. We defined this positive,fulfilling work-related state of mind of employers as work engagement. Work engagement is characterized by vigor,dedication,and absorption. Vigor is characterized with high levels high levels of energy and mental resilience while working, the willingness to invest effort in one’s work, and persistence even in the face of difficulties. Dedication refers to being strongly involved in one’s work, and experiencing a sense of significance, enthusiasm, inspiration, pride, and challenge.Finally, absorption is characterized by being fully concentrated and happily engrossed in one’s work, whereby time passes quickly and one has difficulties with detaching oneself from work.Academic research on work engagement is booming. So far,engagement research has mainly focused on (1) the meaning, structure and measurement of work engagement;(2) the antecedents of engagement;(3) the consequences of engagement. However, studies about work engagement are almost limited in the aspect of individual, merely focusing on transmission in inter-individual. Researchers defined this transmission of emotion that cross over between closely related persons as crossover. A lot of studies on engagement have confirmed that positive emotions can be transmission cross over in inter-individual just like what negative emotion can be done. As we know, family is another mainly important field of an adult, and the interaction of spouses is inevitable. However, study on work engagement crossover of dual-earner couples is almost absence. So far, there is no relevant review or empirical study in our country.In this paper, the questionnaire survey method, literature research method and so on were studied on the crossover of engagement of dual-earner couples. This study use the Job Demand-Resource as the base and work engagement as cut-in point to discuse the transmission of engagement of dual-earner. Convenient sampling is used in this study, finally138couples were selected valid,(general survey for276people), using analysis of variance, correlation analysis, regression analysis and so on statistical techniques, get the conclusion as follows:1.Individual’s job demands showed a weak correlation with work engagement;2.Individual’s job resources are significant positively related to work engagement;3.In dual earner couples, the work engagement of women has a significant predication to men’work engagement;4.The work engagement of men has a significant predication to women’work engagement in dual earner couples.5. Empath mediate the crossover relationship between women’s and men’s work engagement.On this basis, we analyze the limitations of the present study and put forward some prospects for future research, including the following main themes:1.conceptualization and measurement of work engagement;2.theoretical perspectives;3.cross-cultural issues of work engagement;4.work engagement across time and5.collective work engagement and so on.
