| Minority Music is a significant part in Chinese music culture.The rhythm is moreimaginative, the melody is more melodic and the tonality is more colorful when itcompared to Han music. The Chinese music art showing such pretty gorgeouslynowadays because of Minority Music exists.As a bowed string instrument which came from the ancient western regions, erhuhas became the most most representative folk instrument in China after it was purifiedby the historic civilization. And formed a huge oriental named ‘huqin family’. Erhuowns both Han and minority ethnic’s temperament, so it can interpret the variousethnic musical art easily.This paper will focus on the erhu achievements from Xinjiang, Mongolian,Tibetan, Yi district. And in order to summarize, analyze and research theircharacteristics, it is going to use methods of Ethnomusicology, music form and playingtechniques etc.‘Research music in culture’ will be the guiding ideology in the article,and every section will be start with the analysis of local cultural environment includinghistory, geography, nationality and so on. Next, sort out and grasp of the local musicalstyles to guide further analysis of the region’s style works on behalf of erhu musicontology. Through a progressive method, the paper will illustrate the various ethnicminority erhu works with more comprehensive and creative analysis. Particularly, theauthor has summarized the erhu music in Tibetan, Yi style which illustrates few studiesbefore in domestic research. This is the first time for the master’s degree to describeand study about these two regions’ erhu works. |
