Study Of Similar Chinese Characters In Teaching Chinese As A Second Language

Recent years, more and more people overseas are learning Chinese all over theworld. In the process of learning Chinese, the large amounts of similar Chinesecharacters become the main obstacles of Chinese study, they confuse the learners verymuch. This paper will firstly study on teaching similar characters by analyzing thenoumenon of the similar characters on the basis of previous studies, conclude thereasons that the phenomenon emerges and causes errors. Secondly, to explore anumber of issues of the similarity in TCSL, and to sum up the distinctive factorsbetween similar characters through the research on the similar characters of HSK firstgrade common words table. At last, propose the key points to distinguish similarcharacters and practical teaching methods to promote TCSL.
