Regulatory emotional self-efficacy refers to a degree of self-confidence in ifindividual has the ability to regulate his emotional states effectively. While regulatoryemotional self-efficacy is the hot issue in current research field of emotion, it is still inits infancy in our country. In this study, the relationship among family functioning,peer relations and regulatory emotional self-efficacy in junior students have beenexplored and a mediation model has been constructed.350junior students in SuifenheNo.1Middle School, Heilongjiang Province were assessed Regulatory EmotionalSelf-Efficacy scale (RESE) Chinese Version, Family Assessment Device (FAD) andChildren and Adolescents Fellowship Scale in order to understand the relationshipamong family functioning, peer relation and regulatory emotional self-efficacy. Weused SPSS16.0and AMOS18.0statistical software in data processing. The results areas follows:1. Family functioning showed significant differences on grade level and whethersubject is the only child.2. Regulatory emotional self-efficacy showed significant differences on gender,grade and home place location.3. Peer relations showed significant differences on gender, grade and whethersubject is the only child.4. Family functioning was significantly related to and positively predictedregulatory emotional self-efficacy and peer relations in junior students.5. Regulatory emotional self-efficacy was significantly related to and positivelypredicted peer relations in junior students.6. Regulatory emotional self-efficacy has not played a significant mediation rolebetween family functioning and peer relations. The theoretical modeling among thethree factors has not achieved the ideal goal.
