Research On Thailand Students’ Learning Motivation Of Chinese Studying In Shanghai

As the numbers of Thai students learning Chinese is on the constant rise, to capture the learning motives of these students and carry out policies of effective education and enrollment, this paper seeks to investigate Thai university students’learning objectives for Chinese. Using qualitative and quantitative methods to carry out the research, this paper focuses on Thai students’ learning objectives and intensity of motivation.The first part is the introduction, displaying the rising importance of Chinese in Thailand, many Thai students pursuing Chinese language education in China and pointing out that their motivations are issues that should not be neglected. This therefore accounts for an important part of learning Chinese in different countries.The second part is about research review from international second language learning motivation to domestic second language learning motivation, to domestic foreign students’leaning motivation of Chinese and Thailand scholars’take on Thailand students learning motivation of Chinese, recapping that learning motivation research is an important aspect of this research, whilst pointing out its lack-of, thus setting the foundation of this paper.The third part describes the purpose of the research. In this segment you will find the purpose of this research and further description on the theoretical purpose and practical significance.The fourth part is about the research method, introducing the research methods used, including surveys, analysis of the interviews, questionnaire design, sample sampling, data collection, and materials classified etc.The fifth part is on the data analysis and findings from the research. Based on the questionnaire results and interviews, using relevant tools to collate and analyze the data, this paper helps to gain wider insights on Thai students’motivation in learning Chinese and the intensity of it.The last part will proceed to conclude the research and provide suggestions to sum up this whole report. With relevance to Thailand students’interest and motivation in learning Chinese, to boost education standards and promote greater Chinese usage in Thailand through media, this paper provides further suggestions as well. Finally, this report has also touched on the areas which can be improved as a result.
