| This article presents frequencies and distributions of sentence patterns, includingfrequencies and distributions of all types of verb-predicate sentences, in six volumes ofChinese Teacher, a series of Chinese textbooks published in Korea, and in three volumesof Boya Chinese, a series of Chinese textbooks published in China. This article alsopresents all the sentence types in the two series of textbooks, and investigates teachingsequences of grammar knowledge related to sentence types in these textbooks. Throughcomparing the frequencies and distributions of sentence patterns and verb-predicatesentences, sentence types and the identification and priority of grammar knowledge in thetwo series of textbooks, this article explores sentence pattern-related differences betweenthe two series of textbooks and discusses the reason of such differences.The first chapter briefly introduces the background and implication of this study,summarizes previous studies on Chinese textbooks in Korea, Chinese sentence types andsentence types in textbooks and their drawbacks, before moving on to the two mainsubjects.The second chapter presents frequencies and distributions of sentence patterns andverb-predicate sentences, all the sentence types in six volumes of Chinese Teacher, andinvestigates teaching sequence of grammar knowledge related to sentence types in thesetextbooks.The third chapter presents frequencies and distributions of sentence patterns andverb-predicate sentences, all the sentence types in three volumes of Boya Chinese, andinvestigates teaching sequence of grammar knowledge related to sentence types in thesetextbooks.The forth chapter compares frequencies and distributions of sentence patterns andverb-predicate sentences, sentence types and the identification and priority of grammarknowledge in the two series of textbooks. More specifically, this chapter compares the teaching sequences of verb-predicate sentence, sentence category, compound sentence,aspect particle and complement in the two series of textbooks, and discusses the reasonsof differences.The fifth chapter summarizes the content of this article before moving on toconclusion. |
