Aesthetic taste is an important category in the history of western aesthetics. Bourdieu opposes the thinking path of epistemological aesthetics and emphasizes the sociological conditions of aesthetic study. This thesis researched Bourdieu’s sociological aesthetic thought based on his "Distinction" and through the interpretation of the disenchantment of "taste" theory.Bourdieu examines the social conditions of taste and thinks that taste is not the talent which was called in legal culture, but it is closely related with the education capital and social origin. He distinguishes three zones of taste:legitimate taste, "Middle-brow" taste, popular taste.Taste is a sign of class distinction for Bourdieu and becomes weapons and chips between classes which carry out classification struggles.Bourdieu is the first to release the analysis of taste from the pure aesthetic field. He makes taste return to the field of daily life and interprets the aesthetic taste theory by the style of disenchantment. He returns to the original semantic connotation of taste and criticizes and challenges Kant’s aesthetics. This distinctly shows the uniqueness of his aesthetics.
