Research On The Ethics Of Body Organ Donation In China

Life heath raised more and more concerns as the medical technology keep progressing. In the age of information, organ transplantation technology made more and more diseases curable, which undoubtedly has brought to mankind a great gospel. However, insufficient body organ donation, domestic, restricted the application of the technology in clinical practice. It also affected the scientific research and medical students education in medical colleges. The main reason was that the public hold less awareness and understanding of body organs donation, not along the process of donation. This was a comprehensive issue and ethical problem.The paper was based on Principles of Life Ethics and relevant laws and regulations. The paper studied thesis from domestic researches to search for issues and ethical principles to solve these problems. The first part of the paper briefly introduced the research method of this article, research background, research purpose and the innovation point. The second part of the paper analyzed domestic researches and put forward several reasons: ingrained tradition thought, lack of donor feasible way, the lack of laws and regulations, lack of scientific management. The third part of the paper offered six major principles: No-harm principle, donation principle, informed principle, compensation principle, resource-sharing principle and fair-treat principle. The fourth part of the paper put forward some practical ways to build the donation system: to create a positive public opinion, to improve the relevant laws and regulations, to establish effective incentive mechanism, to establish donated organization, to set up fair allocation mechanism and to carry out a full range of humanistic care. The research aimed to contribute to our country body organs donation, so that organ transplantation of the medical technology can be fully reasonable for the health of human being.
