| False memory, also known as memory illusion, is that people’s reporting on past events had a serious deviation from the fact. Individual memories are susceptible to unrelated factors’ interference, then generated the memory confusion, while monitoring strategies and project specific process, to a certain extent, can effectively inhibit false memories emerging. Previous false memory researches have focused on the long memory. However, short-term false memories also have a significant impact on an individual’s life, and the researches about false memories can deepen people’s understanding of the mechanism of false memories. In the present study, we use the short-DRM paradigm to explore the warning and visual features tips’ impact on the short-term false memories. Experiment1 randomly selected 42 college students for the study, using 2(warning prompt type: warning and without warning) × 3(Project Type: learned word, lure key words and unrelated words) mixed design, and between-subjects variable is warning prompt type, within-subject variable is project type. The study focus on the relation between warning and short-term relevance false memory, also the interaction effects between warning prompts type and the project; the second experiment is divided into two small experiments to explore visual features tips’ impact on short-term relevance warning error false memory: the experiment of 2a randomly selected 42 college students for the study, using 2(schematic clue: schematic clue and no schematic clue) × 3(Project Type: learned word, lure key words and unrelated words) mixed design, schematic clue is within-subject variable, to investigate the schematic clue’s effect on short-term false memory; the experiment of 2b randomly selected 42 college students for the study, using 2(schematic clue: locational clue and no locational clue) × 3(Project Type: learned word, lure key words and unrelated words) mixed design, location is within-subject variable, to investigate the locational clue’s effect on short-term false memory. The results showed that:(1) In the short-term relevance false memory, the false alarm rate of early warning group critical lure words warning group were significantly lower than non-critical lure words false alarm rate, and alarm conditions being tested under critical lure words reaction significantly less than the non-alarm conditions were tested for critical lure words reaction;(2) Illustration trail conditions were tested for critical lure false alarm rate was significantly lower than non-word clue is a schematic diagram of the test of critical lure words false alarm rate. In addition, participants in the schematic trail conditions studied projects and key lure When the reaction is significantly less than when the word is a schematic diagram of the test without a clue conditions for the project and learned key words induced reactions;(3) Position clue condition is critical lure word test false positive rate was significantly higher than the position of the subjects of critical clue word lure false positive rate, and the subjects of critical lure words reaction under the conditions of the location of clues significantly greater than in the absence of clues to the location of the condition being tested for critical lure word response. |
