A Study On The Phenomenon Of The Compilation Of The Prohibition And Destruction Of Novels In The Four Branches Of Literature

Fiction prohibition and destruction is an important cultural phenomenon common to all times,it also has been focused by scholars. The Qing Emperor Qianlong ordered to write the "Si Ku Quan Shu". They took a combination of two approaches which are written and forbidden, actually it is a management policy of "forbidden in repairing". And it aimed at the main object is the literati. Therefore during the prohibition and destruction of types of fiction, denial of reason, implementing culture management policy and so on are different from other dynasties. During this period, a large number of classical Chinese novels are prohibited and destructed, Involvement in novels by literati their own mistakes, and thus presents a complex banning of phenomenon are rarely mentioned. But as a comprehensive collection and sorting out the period of Qianlong Banning novels,Through these stories lead us to the study of this period novels denial of this unique cultural phenomenon. Of cause, it has important significance to comprehensive understanding of the Qianlong period, and the denial of the Ming and Qing dynasties novel culture phenomenon.This article focuses on the unique cultural phenomenon of the prohibition and destruction of the novel which under the background of writing the Complete library in the Four Branches of Literature. This article has been divided into four chapters to discuss.The first chapter is " sorting and research bibliographies". Through the column chart to sort out the banning of the novel. And analysis of the difference between these banning novels and other dynasties. The second chapter is " ‘Language taboo’ and the banning of the novel". To analysis and elaborate the banning phenomenon of a large number of "language taboo" novels, this chapter includes the banning process of the novel, the Central and local different evaluation criteria for the novel, the novel circulating situation and so on. The third chapter is "the literati and banning of the novel ".These novels which prohibited and destructed are associated with Qian Qianyi、Zhou Lianggong、Yang Xunji、Chen Jiru, so this chapter will discuss these phenomena. The fourth chapter is " the novels are not seen in the banning list and phenomenon analysis". This chapter discussed about some novels which should be banned but not seen in the banning list, and discuss the reasons for this phenomenon.This article will use philological method induction and finishing materials, through the literature and history certificate to textual research literature, and also use the study method of comparison to discusses the difference between these novels and other period.
