In the middle period of 18 th century,under the order of Emperor Qianlong,the largest officially compiled series Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature were fully completed after thirteen-year collection and compilation.What follows is The Comprehensive Table of Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature,the masterpiece of bibliography that gives a brief introduction to the main body bibliography and the reserved bibliography.From the ancient times to the present,‘study of Four Branches of Literature' has been the focus of many scholars.Since 21 st century,‘regional study of Four Branches of Literature'has gradually gained more and more attention,the research scope of which almost covers various regions.This paper is a cross research of Anthology of Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature and regional literature of Fujian in the Qing Dynasty.Hope that through elaborate exploration of literati in Fujian in the Qing Dynasty in the anthology of Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature,this paper can make some contributions to the research of regional study in Fujian in the Qing Dynasty.This thesis is divided into five parts:The introduction part mainly introduces the source of the topic,research objective and research significance and also makes a systematic classification of the related research fruits of The Comprehensive Table of Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature and regional literature in Fujian,including research overview of the classics,history,branch and collection of The Comprehensive Table of Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature,research of its anthology in the Qing Dynasty,the cross research of Comprehensive Table of Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature and regional literature.Finally,it summarizes the current research situation of the writers mentioned in this paper.The first chapter,anthology of The Comprehensive Table of Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature collects the regional distribution conditions of writers and works in the Qing Dynasty.Through research in the way of listing,it draws the following economic andcultural overview: Jiangsu and Zhejiang is the economic and cultural central zone in the Qing Dynasty;the economic and cultural level of Fujian in the Qing Dynasty is among the top.The native place of main body writers is concentrated in the coastal area;that of reserved bibliography takes on the network structure of radiation from the east to the west.The second chapter,anthology of The Comprehensive Table of Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature also collects the statistics and analysis of works and writers in Fujian in the Qing Dynasty.Through combining the life overview of 36 writers in Fujian,this part draws the following research viewpoint: the number of writers is related to the economic and cultural overview in Fujian in the early Qing Dynasty,the development and prosperity of mainstream culture of imperial examinations in the Qing Dynasty;new-confucianism and real learning is the important deletion principle of The Comprehensive Table.There are less main body writers and more reserved bibliography writers among the selected writers of Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature.Meanwhile,this paper also explores and analyzes the source,spread and version in the way of listing of the 36 selected works in Fujian in Anthology of Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature: in terms of source,most of the 36 selected masterpieces come from Fujian;in terms of spread,23 among the 36 works have been spread till today,taking up around 3/5 of the total sum and the offprints of many works have been lost;in terms of version,there are more versions of 3 writers and works in Fujian in Anthology of Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature and are collected in the libraries,which are wide spread;the reserved bibliography writers and works only have offprints which are spread in a smaller scale.The third chapter,the main body part of anthology of The Comprehensive Table of Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature collects the analysis of writers and works in Fujian in the Qing Dynasty.This part summarizes the common features of main body writers:they are officials with higher ranks and profound Confucian quality.The mainstream official cultures have high praise of the three writers who have prosperous and developed familial cultures.Meanwhile,it also makes deep analysis of Banyan Collection by Li Guangdi,Erxitang Collected Works by Cai Shiyuan as well as Primary Collection of Luzhou by LanDingyuan,including the academic evaluation,literary evaluation and confirmation of Li Guangdi's cultural status in The Comprehensive Table·Banyan Collection;literary evaluation,evaluation of education achievements and status evaluation of Cai Shiyuan in The Comprehensive Table·Erxitang Collected Works;experience evaluation,evaluation of current affairs attention and evaluation of enthusiastic teaching of Lan Dingyuan in The Comprehensive Table·Primary Collection of Luzhou.In the end,this paper analyzes and explores that these three main body writers had many daily acquaintances,all taught in Aofeng Academy and made huge contributions to the inheritance and development of neo-Confucianism in Fujian.The fourth chapter,the reserved bibliography of anthology of The Comprehensive Table of Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature selects analysis of writers and works in Fujian in the Qing Dynasty.This part studies the works and writers in Fujian in the Qing Dynasty and draws the following conclusion: the familial features are vivid;The Comprehensive Table introduces the masters and personal integrity of the writers and have more negative evaluation of the reserved bibliography writers;the reserved bibliography writers and works are mainly pure literary poetry collection;it analyzes the literary value of works of literati in the reserved bibliography from the perspective of the works;the creation styles tend to be ancient with various works styles and low literary value.Finally,it further studies the spread and influence of writers and works.Most of their activity scopes were concentrated in Fujian,hence they had much communication;for example,Huang Ren and Xie Daocheng were good friends since childhood;Li Shihong and Qiu Jiasui had solid friendship etc.The conclusion part summarizes the whole paper and re-emphasize the cultural influence and unique status of literati in Fujian in the Qing Dynasty in The Comprehensive Table.
