| Justice is the core goal of social development. Justice is a sense of fairness. China’s socialist system should better reflect the advantages of fair, but with the development of China and the improvement of people’s living standards, more and more people complained about the fair or justice of social in recent years. Social dominance theory and social identity theory have different views about the effect of social class on the sense of social justice. Furthermore, sociometer theory provides us with a new view that self-esteem is the key tie links self with society. At the same time, the two dimensions of self-esteem (implicit self-esteem and explicit self-esteem) may play different roles in the relationship between class and the perception of fairness, and we intend to study these questions,by three studiesBased on questionnaire method, study 1 collected survey data from different colleges, getting a sample of 133 effective samples totally. Hierarchical regression results showed that under the control of the independent variables, subjective social class level can predict the sense of social justice; higher subjective class tended to perceptive the society fairer.Study 2 went on to explore explicit self-esteem’s potential mediate effect between subject social class and perception of social justice.476 postgraduates were studied. Hierarchical regression results showed that the explicit self-esteem partial mediates the effects between social classes and social justice after controlling independent variables. The higher subjects’subjective social class level, the more positive self-evaluation, the more inclined to make fair judgment. In study 3, we put the implicit self-esteem into consideration. Implicit self-esteem was measured with Implicit Association Test (IAT).141 postgraduates participated in this study. The results showed that implicit self-esteem can moderate the subjective social class’s direct impact on social justice. In summary, subjective social class can not only directly influence the perception of social justice, but also influence it through explicit self-esteem. Implicit self-esteem can moderate the subjective social class’s direct impact on social justice. |
