The Effect Of Hou Hei Personality Tendency On College Students’ Cheating Intention And Bribery Intention

Hou Hei personality is a kind of personality originated and spread in China. It like western machiavellism, represents a kind of personality traits which to achieve their goals by hook or by crook, ignore the virtue and morality. From the prevalence of legalists in the period of schools of thought contend to today malignant events occur repeatedly, this personality tendency affects us all the time.In this paper I introduced the domestic and foreign related research status,found that Hou Hei personality tendency strongly correlated with job performance, social culture and moral factors, the Hou Hei personality tendency are highly associated with unethical behavior. On the basis of previous studies to explore the structure of Hou Hei personality and the influencing factors. Due to the differences of cultural background, way of thinking and language habits, the machiavellism questionnaire is not suitable for Chinese subjects. And the domestic Hou Hei personality questionnaire does not highlight the core factors of this personality traits, so I refer to the machiavellism questionnaire and TangShujun’s Hou Hei personality questionnaire to revised the Hou Hei personality tendency questionnaire. Explore the basic situation of college students Hou Hei personality tendency, therefore to research this personality effects on college students’ cheating intention and bribery intention. A total of 425 college students to participate in this study, the main conclusions are as follows:the Hou Hei personality tendency questionnaire including eight items,Hou Hei personality can be divided into an achieve goal strategy and moral escape strategy two dimensions, The reliability and validity of Hou Hei personality tendency questionnaire were statistically situable. Cheating intentions and bribery intention significantly positive correlation with Hou Hei personality tendency, can positively predict college students’ cheating intention and bribery intention;In the mediation effect study of Hou Hei personality’s influencing effect to cheating intention and bribery intention, Neutral attitude played a partial intermediary role between these variable.
