"Holberg Suit ", also called "From Holberg’s Time", is a monumental work for200anniversary of Lou Vee Dirk Holberg’s birthday who was an enlightenment writer in the eighteenth Century.The work was written by Edvard Grieg. The Holberg era as the Baroque period in the history of western music, while the Holberg is referred to as "the father of Danish literature" who was a pure Norwegian. So Grieg combinated the baroque style of music with Norway’s ancient traditional music, and imitate the shape of Baroque suit with Grieg’s unique musical language, composed this work "Holberg suite". The suite is composed of five parts:1、Praelude2、Sarabande3、Gavotte. Musette.4、Air5、RigaudonStarting with a "conception " of a work, the paper aims at exploring how to integrate Grieg’s music style and Baroque music style, and how to achieve "a dialogue about the Norway fjord and Baroque through the time and space ". That is a special aesthetic experience.
