A Study On The Ancient Local Records For Mingbei

Minbei equivalent to the administrative regions of Nanping City contains Yanping District and the other nine counties such as Jian’ou, Jianyang, Shaowu, Wuyishan, Shunchang, Guangze, Pucheng, Songxi, Zhenghe.Minbei is known as "Fujian’s Zoulu", and "Neo-Confucianism of state," which has a good tradition of taking Local Records since ancient times. Minbei Local Records originate from as early as the Southern Dynasties.There are273kinds Local Records of Minbei and now only exist108kinds. These Local Records chronicles the history, natural environment, politics, economics, science, education, culture, folk customs and other conditions for thousands of years of Minbei, which is very precious to study the situations of Minbei regions. In this text, the study area is Minbei region and the study object is the old local chronicles. The primary intention of this paper is to integrate and combine the existence and lost status, version, Compilaters and to explore the economic historical value, cultural historical value, geography and tourism value for servicing the modernization construction of Minbei.Through studying the Minbei old chronicles, we not only can know the history, geography and climate, agriculture, industry, commerce, customs, folk beliefs, and other conditions, but also provide a rich historical basis to further promote the economic, culture, tourism and other careers for formulating appropriate policies and programs.
