An Analysis On The Generative Mechanism Of Adverbial And Attribute Position-changeable Depictive Adverbial Modified Clause

This thesis is entitled" An analysis on the generative mechanism of adverbial andattribute position-changeable depictive adverbial modified clause", aimed to do acomplete analysis to the generative mechanism of adverbial and attributeposition-changeable depictive adverbial modified clause. This thesis can be dividedinto five chapters.The first chapter is an introduction: this chapter first defines the object of studyclearly as generative mechanism of adverbial and attribute position-changeabledepictive adverbial modified clause. And defined the morphological traits of our studyas well. Secondly, we made a thorough study on the previous research and pointed outthe fact that the former research mostly are focused on describing but rare onexplanation, which give us a clue that our focus should be on the generativemechanism. Finally, we made a note to the sources cited in this thesis.chapter2to chapter4is the text of the thesis, respectively from the pragmaticmotivation, syntactic displacement mechanism and the communicative intent, wemade a detailed discussion to the generative mechanism of adverbial and attributeposition-changeable depictive adverbial modified clause.In chapter3,we analyzed the generative mechanism of adverbial and attributeposition-changeable depictive adverbial modified clause. According to discourseanalysis approach, begin with the Communicative intention of adverbial and attributeposition-changeable depictive attribute modified clause and adverbial and attributeposition-changeable depictive adverbial modified clause, by comparing the differenceon Communicative intention, speech act structure and form of discourse betweenthem, we anlynized the generative process of adverbial and attributeposition-changeable depictive adverbial modified clause from speech act structure,underlying, semantic structure and lexical meaning. At last, we come to theconclusion that the differences on discourse form are caused by the differences ofCommunicative intention. In chapter4, from semantic and cognitive angles, we try to explain how did theadverbial and attribute position-changeable depictive adverbial modified clauserealize it’s communicative intention after movement.Chapter5is the conclusion of this thesis. On the basis of the previous chapter,we generate a complete conclusion of how does the adverbial and attributeposition-changeable depictive adverbial modified clause realize it’s communicativeintention.
