Emotional factors is one of the key factors influencing the English teaching, it plays a vital role in quality of English teaching, the studying of emotional factors in English has been payed the attention by scholars at home and abroad.But as is under the influence of the traditional teaching concept for a long time in our country, especially in remote areas, English teaching often only attaches importance to imparting knowledge,and ignores the emotional education,this phenomenon is very serious.More teachers in the classroom are in the center, students just accept knowledge passively, it impacts on the English teaching quality and effect badly.The author found that many of the Tibetan college students’ English level is very low, performance is very poor, and English foundation is very weak that lead them to enter the university barely keep pace with a poor English course schedule through the two years of teaching practice and long-term classroom observation, especially in listening and speaking, the traditional mode of English teaching makes lots of students have no interested in English, boring classroom atmosphere makes students produce weariness and giving up learning mind.Many students want to continue their study after undergraduate or go on study in graduate school, but English has become the biggest stumbling block, and make students so worried..So the author thinks that improving English of Tibetan students is one of the important tasks of the current, the process of learning English is process that making students understand language and make them input, Motivation,attitude, anxiety and other emotional factors of learning English of students’ have a great impact on language learning, it has an important meaning of their learning of comprehensibility language.If we pay a attention to great importance of the emotional factor in the learning of students, such as strengthening the students’ learning motivation, learning attitude, and great important influence of the English national culture on students’ learning English, reduce the students’ anxiety in English learning as far as possible, research Tibetan students personality and other characteristics from their perspective, the enthusiasm of students learning a foreign language will be ascend,and it will help to improve Tibetan students’ English level and the quality of English teaching.So studying of the important factors that have affect on Tibetan students English learning deeply is necessary.Based on education psychology and curriculum theory,the author realized the important position of emotional factors in English teaching deeply, as well as the cognitive and emotional ties,and proposed that pay attention to emotional factors in the practical teaching, be fully use of emotional teaching strategies, and combine with other teaching strategies in English studying, improve the level of college English teaching in Tibetan regions and promote Tibetan college students’ all-round development.Based on searching lots of information about emotional factors and the researches of well-known domestic and foreign scholars on the emotional factors,the author summarizes development history of emotional factors, development trend and theoretical basis and analyzes several important factors in the emotion, such as attitude, motivation, anxiety, empathy, and cross-cultural awareness deeply.The author has carried on the investigation in non-English major college students in Tibet university based on the principle of emotional factors in college English teaching.Through the questionnaire survey and five months of teaching practice, and combined with the case study,the author has found out the actual situation of using emotional factors in Tibetan non-English major college students and some existing problems,and also analyzed the importance of emotional factors in English study through the teaching experiment, and want to find a way that how to improve English lever of Tibetan non-English major college students.
