The Opera arias Je veux vivre Dans ce reve and Oh! quante volte, oh! quante is created by Charles-Francois Gounod and Vincenzo Bellini respectively, and they both come from Shakespeare’s famous plays Romeo and Juliet. They both make Shakespeare’s plays as a script, because of the composers’ different background of social, cultural, life and emotional, and their works must also show their own characteristics. Je veux vivre Dans ce reve and Oh! quante volte, oh! quante are both love tragedy, but the two opera masters have difference on people’s layout and the story’s plot, and this makes the same Juliet have distinctive aria and rhyme. On the basic of study of the two operas, it extracts Juliet’s music style, figure’s show, singing skills, singing characteristics in the main aria Je veux vivre Dans ce reve and Oh! quante volte, oh! quante of the two operas, and study them, and analyze the similarities and differences between them, and then makes the learners and lovers of vocal music have a deep understanding and comprehension of the character image of Juliet. And which is advantageous to the singer in the singing of Juliet’s aria and opera making a better interpretation of the music and performance figures.
