Research On Food Safety Issues In China With The Sight Of Technology Alienation Theory Of Marxism

Nowadays, with the rapid development of science and technology which promote the development of social productive forces, people’s life style has been changed. At the same time, it also enriches people’s spiritual world. Therefore, the development of human society and technology is closely connected with each other. We can see that the widely use of food technology leads to the development of related vice industry while promotes the development of food industry with a very high speed.However, the food safety incidents, which occurred last few years in our country, have done great harm to the harmonious development of society and steady development of economy in China. With the continuous development of food technology progress, we should also notice that the negative effect produced by the alienation of technology has emerged and expanded. In our country, the food safety problems are directly related to our national economy and people’s livelihood. Therefore, this article try to analyze the problems of food safety from a perspective of technology alienation of Marxism to find it is possible to resolve food safety issues of out country no matter in theory or practice.In the introduction part, due to the current social development situation and the importance of the food industry in China, it is necessary to do a research about the food safety issue to our country. No matter in the mainland of our country or the international world, there are countless articles and works about food safety problems, which always analyze this problem from a political/economic or ethical perspective. Through the reference of the relevant literature, we can learn the basic situation about the food problems and the measures taken by those governments which have already developed complete system about food governance. It really does lots of help for the writing. In this article, we are trying to analyze the food safety problems from the perspective of technology alienation theory which is the extension of the alienation theory of Marxism, which can dig deeper into the nature of the food safety problems. Thus it can provide more suggestion and channels to resolve the food safety issues in our country.In the first part of this article, it first proposed the concept of "food safety", which mainly contains two aspects:one is about food quantity, the other one is a explanation of food quality. Because of the continuous development of social and economy, to feed the whole world is not any a serious problem to most countries. Therefore this article mainly discusses the problems on the food quality. Through the analysis of the present cases about food technology abuse in food industry of our country, such as adding the chemical materials illegally, pesticide and veterinary drug abuse, and the non-standard use of livestock antibiotics etc. The food technology is developed originally for the healthy development of food industry, however, in the current analysis, it shows that the negative impact of technology is also immeasurable. That is to say, the main reason which caused the food safety problems is the alienation of food technology. Then what is alienation? What is about alienation of good technology? We made an explanation in the second part.The second part is mainly talking about the alienation of technology theory of Marxism, which is the theoretical basis for this paper. In the first part, we can see that most food safety incidents were caused by food technology. Then there is a question:Should we give up all the technologies, turn back to the original way of life? From Marx’s alienation of science and technology theory, we can see that Marx held a positive attitude to the technology, he thought that science and technology is productivity, "a promoting role in history, the strength of the revolution." Then what makes the technology standing in the opposite side with people, began to enslave people? In the ideology field, it is caused by the extreme expansion of technological reason. While in reality, it is caused by the abnormal development of social production mode. The technology is used as a tool to enslave people by the capitalists, indulging people in pursuing of high profits which let them ignore the value of themselves at the same time. This situation especially shows in the food safety problems in China. That is to say, it has great influences to the political and economic development of our country. It not only relates to our national economy and people’s livelihood, it also can cause the consumption alienation in the food industry and become a threat to the economic security of our country.Finally, due to the influence of the situation we talked above, it appears more urgent for us to find solutions with food safety problems. To solve these problems, I’d like to give three Suggestions:first of all, in the background of globalization, we should take the the food safety system of international community which has been relatively developed for reference; Second, we give a series of Suggestions for solving food technology alienation in theory, such as using the technology itself to dispel technology alienation; With the help of moral, to solve technical alienation; pay more attention on the role of people. Finally, put forward some practical measures to solve the problem of food safety in our country in practice.
