| This is a translation practice report. The original text, Food Security, Food Prices and Climate Variability, was published by the British Routledge. Its writer is the famous American researcher Molly E. Brown. Based on part of the translation in first chapter of this book, the translator has completed this report.It is the report and summary of specific situations of the translation practice. This report has five parts, including the introduction, the translation task description, the translation process description, the translation theory and the case analysis as well as the conclusion. In the first part, introduction briefly states the translation task, the reasons for the translation and the problems that the translator will encounter in the translation process. In the second part, translation task description roughly summarizes the characteristics of the original text as well as the translation requirements that the translator should follow. In the third part, translation process description introduces the process of translating this book, including the understanding of the original text, the translation choices of strategy, the execution of translation and so on.
