The Research On Dongfang Shuo’s Personality And His Works

As attendant of emperor at the western han dynasty,dongfang shuo is not being favored by chances,but he becomes legendary figure in the history of Chinese literature,because of his unique personality charm. He is humor funny,knowledgeable and articulate, with flexible outlook on life and political view.He also has outstanding contributionin in literary style and literary reclusion thought.Dongfang shuo appears in the later literary works with a variety of image features,his image,story,legend is spreading. Then on the basis of predecessors’ research,this article attempts through manners,works and image of dongfang shuo to study his true personality.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is introduction which mainly elaborated about forefathers’ research results of dongfang shuo,and indicated the writing intention and the innovation of this article.The second part is the dongfang shuo’s life experience.First of all,it introduced social politics, ideology, cultural characteristics at the western han dynasty period, as the foundation of the third and the fourth part about dongfang shuo’s works and personality analysis.The third part is the specific studies about dongfang shuo personality characteristics,is the core of the paper, summarizes the dongfang shuo’s personality of humor,wit, loyalty,humility,and discuss respectively.The fourth part is analysis for dongfang shuo the style of the work, is also an important part of the core argument. First,it analysis works of general art characteristics, this paper is withdongfang shuo’s works of the life in different stages to detail analysis as an example.The fifth part discuss for later generations to dongfang shuo image shape,study dongfang shuo image evolution and the reasons for the latergenerations. Dongfang shuo’s legendary life is deductived by later people,and gives him more abundant connotation of the characters.why can the legend of dongfang shuo spread so far, whether related to its charm, it also became one of this article creation opportunity.
