Research On The Polysyllabic Words Of The Past Incidents During Xuanhe Period In Song Dynasty

The Past Incidents During Xuanhe Period in Song Dynasty is an important novel set in early Ming dynasty and Qing dynasty. This paper is going to take the polysyllabic words in this novel as the research subject, to collect and make clear of its quantity and the frequency of a single polysyllabic word, analysing its structure,and finally to conclude the major features.Besides,We intend to correct and improve The Great Dictionary of Chinese by using the polysyllabic words in this novel.This article consists four chapters.In the first part, I mainly introduce The Past Incidents During Xuanhe Period in Song Dynasty and its author. Based on roughly analyzing the linguistic value and current research situation about The Past Incidents During Xuanhe Period in Song Dynasty.The first part will define the demarcations of polysyllabic words in this book as well as the research method.The second part will divide the polysyllabic words in The Past Incidents During Xuanhe Period in Song Dynasty so as to classify them according to the demarcations and make clear of its quantity and the frequency of a single polysyllabic word, analysing its structure. Meanwhile the lexical features of The Past Incidents During Xuanhe Period in Song Dynasty will be concluded in this part.In the third part,we would like to correct and improve The Great Dictionary of Chinese according to the polysyllabic words in this novel.Finally,let me just emphasize again the writing purpose and goal.Furthermore,we make a summing up of in-depth thinking and deficiency based on the research.
