New products launch is one of the most important methods to promote a certain product for many companies. With the increasing domestic economy of China, more and more foreign enterprises are paying more attention to huge consumer market of China. On this occasion, the demand of interpretation for the products launch is increasing year after year. The new products launch is becoming more difficult and various due to the huge language and cultural differences among different countries.This thesis is a report on the interpreting of Apple company’s new product launch in Flint Center. Compared with other conferences which are serious and simple, this products launch is much more vivid and comprehensive by using multimedia technology to show new features of the new products. This material is a typical one in the technology field.This report belongs to new products launch theme and composes of five parts, which are: introduction, preparation before interpreting, interpreting process, case analysing and conclusion. The first three parts generally describe the practice process. The core part includes interpreter’s preparation and skills and interpretation strategies in dealing with the whole process of interpretation. Meanwhile, the experiences are summarized in this report.Through this interpreting, it’s easy to conclude that the listening skills and tactics used in interpreting can be learned and improved from practice, and in a real interpreting occasion, they can be used as valuable references.
