| Product launch event has long been an important way for multinational electronic enterprises to advertise their new products.To ensure successful access to foreign markets,interpreters play a vital role in facilitating the communication between foreign audience and the enterprise.However,the verbal factors such as Internet slang,idiom and poetry,incomplete expression,redundant and unimportant information and non-verbal factors,for example,speaker’s accent,are the main challenges for interpreters and may influence the quality of interpretation.To explore effective consecutive interpreting strategies,this report analyzes the interpreting project on Meizu new product launch event in 2016.Based on the interpretive theory,the author summarizes the main challenges in the interpreting process and proposes related solutions including paraphrasing,addition,omission,simplification and information restructuring. |
