| With the increasing economic and educational interflow between the Taiwan region and Chinese mainland,there has also been an increasing interest in world population for learning Chinese nowadays.Chinese teaching cross strait are different due to the discrepancies in the environment of social languages,teaching and learning.As for teaching and learning Chinese as a second language,the most and first issue to face is choosing phonetic symbols.Hà nyÇ”pÄ«nyÄ«n(æ±‰è¯æ‹¼éŸ³)as phonetic symbols is the mainstream of the world in the field today while notional phonetic alphabet(注音符å·)is only in practice in the Taiwan region.However,the successful experiences for elementary school students learning Chinese with notional phonetic alphabet in the Taiwan region are really worthy to analogize.Chinese,in contrast,with stressing languages and phonograms such as English,is a tone language and ideogram,and therefore phonetics and characters are regarded as two main problems for overseas Chinese learners,it indicates that learning notional phonetic alphabet not only significantly increased the learners proficiency in spelling and writing Chinese characters,but also enhanced their self-confidence for acquiring Chinese culture as a overseas culture.From the angle of Linguistic,the notional phonetic alphabet is based on Chinese phonemes and allophones.Hà nyÇ”pÄ«nyÄ«n,which letters are based on western pronouncing alphabet.On the other hand,notional phonetic alphabet is beneficial to migrant brides’children who are not familiar with Chinese,when teaching phonetic symbols to children which from different backgrounds,teachers should provide assistance to them.The primary goal of this paper is to analyze the difference of phonetic symbols between Hà nyÇ”pÄ«nyÄ«n and notional phonetic alphabet from the perspective of language learning.The advantages and disadvantages for such two phonetic symbols are also discussed in this article.Notional phonetic alphabet will be proposed as a phonetic symbols on both sides cross strait by an honest discussion and presentation of the differences in this thesis of the study.And through what mentioned above and comparing the differences in all aspects from both sides’Chinese teaching to discover the advantages and disadvantages of China’s Chinese teaching nowadays and to give suggestions for a better organized Chinese teaching environment.I hope that the results of this study can provide useful references for future related research and teaching application,as well as for the attention and concerns the overseas learners deserves for their continuing development of Chinese. |
