A Study And Protection Of Xixia Tower In Territory Of Ningxia

Xixia is in Buddha’s founding, in the Xixia dynasty surviving nearly two centuries, built more ancient towers in northwest region. The existing Xixia period the original built pagoda in Ningxia is a total of seven. Paper first in combination with the literature is to analyze the original name of the Xixia ancient pagoda and the built background of pagoda. Second, the paper is to the comparative study of seven type characteristic and the structure of the pagoda and is on the comparative analysis of Anxi Yulin grotto 、 three kilns in the late of Xixia period and the pagoda of Dunhuang 237 kilns mural 、flower tower recess gate mountain group of Hexi region which is in Xixia period、Suo Yangcheng Kumbum monastery tower、Wl yi turrets、the shape structure of Wuwei hai mother temple tower shiva hole. Third, with reference to Anxi Yulin grotto、hree kilns in the late of Xixia period and the pagoda of Dunhuang 237 kilns mural, the paper discusses on the plastic film sculpture art and building install of Xixia tower. The last, the paper is to trace the repair history of seven towers in Ningxia.
