Decision-making could come from everywhere. Decision-making is a very important activity. Choices made by people in the decision-making process and the various factors influencing the decision to choose become the focus of academic attention increasingly. This research use psychological distance as a checkpoint to study the effect of psychological distance on risk decision-making,especially the social distance and time distance in psychological distance have what kind of impact on risky decision-making.Social distance is embodied in for others or for themselves to make decisions. Time distance is embodied in for recent or for future to make decisions. This study examines the influence of different psychological distance on risky decision-making to explore the effect of different psychological distance on the homogeneity and difference of neural mechanism. The research expand the further verification and extension of psychological distance which is better for us to predict and control the decisions under different psychological distance. Most of the former related researches are given with questionnaire or behavior experiments. This research adopting the event-related potential(ERP) in the neuroscience research uses the method of decision-making process to explore the mechanism on the impact of different psychological distance on risk decision-making.The research mainly includes three parts: the first part is the investigation the neural mechanisms on the influence of social distance to risk decision. the second part is the investigation the neural mechanisms on the influence of time distance to risk decision. The third part used the method of questionnaire survey to exam the effectiveness of the operation of social distance and time distance of the first two experiments. This research takes henan university student number as the research subjects of the experiment. Using the event-related potential(ERP) experiment method to do the experiment, the study found out the following results:(1)Through the two experiments this study found that different psychological distance has different impact on risky decision-making.(2)Individuals have difference in the neural mechanisms of risk decision-making for themselves and for others. These differences mainly reflected in the decision making of N1 and P3 on electrical components. When individuals are making decisions for themselves N1 component and P3 component is more significant than individuals making decisions for others. which is to illustrates that individuals will activate more brain cognitive range and function when making decisions for themselves.(3)Individuals have difference in the neural mechanisms of risk decision-making for recent and for future. These differences also mainly reflected in the decision making of N1 and P3 on electrical components. When individuals are making decisions for recent N1 component and P3 component is more significant than individuals making decisions for future. which illustrates that individuals will activate more brain cognitive range and function when making decisions for recent. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | risky decision-making, psychological distance, social distance, Time distance, event-related potentials | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
