With the development of Teaching Chinese as Second Language, more and more scholars began to focus on how to write the books, especially for textbook exercises on how to set up and arrange them. This paper selects "Developing Chinese Elementary Comprehensive Course 2" and "New Practical Chinese Reader 2" as textbooks to study, compared with the two more widely used in practice a foreign language textbooks were investigated and analyzed to figure out the sets of textbooks practice settings and layout, combined with the experience of teachers, analyzing the type of practice, and to explore the foreign language teaching in exercises settings and layout principles, methods. And study a few questions about the practice areas in our country, such as: a book makes the exercise and the main part became two parts, the relationship of many kinds of exercise,as well as a foreign language teaching in practice settings and layout settings.
