The aspect particle "zhe" is the focus of both in learning and teaching Chinese as a foreign language. This paper summarizes the grammar items of "zhe’ appeared in two syllabuses, which are "Hanban Syllabus" and "Teaching Syllabus" edited by Yang Jizhou. We choose five basic sentence patterns of "zhe" summarized before as well as in syllabuses to analyze the specific grammatical meanings. Based on the study above, we will observe and study the aspect particle "zhe" in the textbooks of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In this paper we focus on textbook which is the basis of teaching as well as the main material of learning and plays an link role in the two parts. As we known the selection and arrangement of grammar items "zhe" in textbooks will directly affect the teaching and learning effects,so we targeted textbooks as searching objects. We choose four series of textbooks which are famous and widely used around the world, while contrasting we found that the difficulty of selected grammar items "zhe" are not on the same level and the orders of them are distinct too. The main body of the paper is distributed into three parts,in the first part, we analyze the five "zhe’sentence patterns from the grammatical meaning to pragmatic function;in the second part, we contrast the advantage and disadvantage of each series of textbooks while comparing the layout order,the translation by paraphrasing,the design of exercises and so on; in the last part, we put forward some ideas and suggestions for the arrangement of grammar items "zhe" in textbook compiling.
