| Theme-Rheme Theory and the Thematic Progression, as important tools in analyzing text, are vital for the construction of discourse and the organization of information.therefore,a study ontheme-Rheme structure of the source text helps the Iranslator to better understand the intention of the author, and to follow the natural円ow of the original text. Due to the multiple disparities between the two languages, however, the Iranslator needs to modify or even change 1:he original 1:hematic progression so as to produce a naturally translated text. In this paper,Theme-Rheme Progression Theory is employed for discourse analysis in the hope of shedding light on how to produce a thanslation that is both equivalent to the source text and consisthnt with the features of the target language. |
