Yan Zhenqing Regular Style Evolution Research

Yan Zhenqing’s life has left many works of calligraphy in which the regular script has th e largest number of works and face unique, this paper regard the evolution of style of Yan Z henqing as the starting point, and the representative works of each period as the breakthrough point to study.When Yan Zhenqing was forty-five years old as plain county prefecture, Yan worked as the officialin Changan area before. Before the age of forty-five, Yan Zhenqing was in the peri od of ancient script, and in this period Yan learned from Tang calligraphy masters, and his ma in representative works: <pagoda monument>. Before that there are <epitaph of Wang Lin>, <Guo Xuji’s epitaph>, from <epitaph of Wang Lin>we can see the imitation of Ouyang Xun r egular script characters, and <Guo Xuji’s epitaph> reflects more Yu, Chu style. These works c onstitute the “Qiu Yi Jin bond”calligraphy characteristics of Yan Zhenqing in his ancient peri od.The forty-five year old to fifty-eight year old for Yan Zhenqing is the transition period of ancient script,and Chaos just happened to be the works of this period, Yan’s dedication make him famed to everywhere, but also because of his conduct to etiquette, not cooperating with t he prime ministerand the authorities, Yan was often relegated bythe works of this period are <DongFangShuo HuaZan>,< Guo Temple Monument>, one of the most distinctive works of Art is <DongFangShuo HuaZan>,which shows the calligraphy characteristics of male and hea vy in his transition period of ancient script. The works of this period is mainly controlled by t he inscriptions of the Central Plains, the script style of Chu and affected by fertilizer,accordin g to change font structure and composition to form powerful, heavy script characteristics.After fifty-eight years it is the accident period of Yan Zhenqing’s. At the age of fifty-eig ht, Yan Zhenqing was banished to XiaZhou, JiZhou, after twelve years, Yan has been in the s outh of the Yangtze River’s official, by the age of sixty-nine was ordered to return. The polity of the south is relatively nice. During this period the literati Yan Zhenqing fully displayed, wh ich advocates the Buddha, to make good with literati friends and make a sightseeing tour. Dur ing this period, Yan’s remaining regular script has 24 works, which are listed as <MaGuXianT anJi>, <The Resurgence of Tang Dynasty>, <Yan Qin Li Yan Temple Monument >,<YanShiJ iaMiao Monument>,<ZiGaoShenShuTie>and so on. During this period, Yan Zhenqing’s perso nality script style get complete presentation, forming a virtual and graceful style, Yan Zhenqing’s calligraphy is getting more and more energeticwhen he was about seventy-two years old, Yan’s script was as old as his age.Yan Zhenqing regular script style changing from JiJian QiuYi to deficiency and graceful evolution process, which is mainly influenced by Yan Zhenqing’s own knowledge and the reg ulation of society. His many inscriptions left is also the information followed by the atters, th e early and medium-term reform thoughts are giving the afters profound enlightenment.
