| In recent years,with the rapid progress in science and technology,science and technology exchange between countries is becoming increasingly frequent.As the carrier of scientific knowledge,books play a crucial role in the spread of science and technology.During internship,the author was commissioned to translate a Japanese original-version textbook,『タンパク质精制ã¨å–り扱ã„コツã€(Skills in Protein Refining and Processing),into Chinese to serve as an instruction book for undergraduate experimental courses of School of Life Science and Technology.Based on the introduction of the background and content of the project, the author focused on the stylistic features of science and technology articles and found that the text conformed to the criterion of C-level scientific text and had the features,such as high formality, strong normalization, concise syntactic structure, clear logic and multiple titles. Meanwhile, this report discussed the method of terminology translation, title translation and complex sentence translation by analyzing typical cases. The key of terminology translation was to guarantee the accuracy of the polysemy and homonym translation, and the normalization of English vocabulary translation; employing lessened translation, conversion of word classes and sentence pattern transformation could achieve the concise language and the unity of content and form when translating titles; flexible use of the method of linear translation and split translation could accord with the expression of Chinese habit when translating complex sentences.In the report, the author also summarized the cases of mistranslation and misinterpretation in the process of translation. From the perspective of the translator,the author analyzed the reasons of mistranslation and misinterpretation, and illustrated the importance of preparatory work in translation process. |
