| The dramatic transformation of rural society is in a variety of reasons, and this transition are among three contexts. The first is in the context of globalization. The second is in the context of urbanization. The third is in network context.Since the last century, the study of social changes about rural areas is mainly about the land, markets and other political and economic questions, while not so much focusing on the rural lifestyle study. Therefore, this paper starts from an open, interactive, networked contexts, and aiming to analyze the changes of rural society by investigating the way of lifestyle. What’s more, the paper choose the square dance--as a represent of an aspect of lifestyle-- as the entry point due to its character of externality and popularity.On the theory and method perspective, firstly this paper is based on the network view to analyze the rural square dance phenomena. Then this paper combines Communication Network Analysis and Process-Event Analysis to analyze the process and logic of rural square dance.In the conclusion part, this article summarized the differentiation and integration between square dance and rural social network by proposing a model of "multi-layer network interaction". Furthermore, from the viewpoint of cultural research, the paper discussed the rise of self-organization society in lifestyle times. |
