Bu Dai Xi, also named Bu Dai Puppet, is a kind of traditional Chinese folk art. It is a regional drama which is popular in Fujian and Taiwan. In recent years, traditional domestic arts face a dilemma. Taiwan puppet ’s development is impressive,in which TV puppet show is particularly good. To adapt to the modern trends, Taiwan puppet uses mass communication technology and commercial marketing gimmick, which is popular with young people. Puppet is introduced to Taiwan through a series of changes from the folk arts and crafts to the film and television development. A series of TV puppet companies gradually develop toward the direction of industrial development, form a unique cultural creative industries in Taiwan. Pili puppet, the subject of the essay, now has the largest influence among the TV puppet in Taiwan. Compared with the traditional puppet, Pili puppet in the plays, made a lot of changes in shooting style and opening up their own market. At the same time Pili puppet provides people understand traditional puppet good route of transmission.This essay is divided into four parts, which mainly researches the inheritance and development : the first part introduces the origin and development of Taiwan puppet. As the folk art, traditional puppet has many problems of development currently, the prosperity of Taiwan puppet gives many development inspirations to traditional puppet which locates in the embarrassing position in modern society. The introduction of puppet’s incoming and prosperity in Taiwan is connected with the appearance of television puppet. The second part is mainly based on Huang family puppet of television puppet, innovation and reform of Pili puppet in industrialization development, business operation and marketing methods. The third part intensively analyzes different role classifications and continuous plot setting in art issue. Based on inheritance of traditional culture, it analyzes the cultural connotation in plots. The fourth part introduces several problems of Pili puppet in its industrialization development and future development, The key is to balance tradition and innovation.
