Laozi’s "Inaction" Ecological View And Its Contemporary Value

"Inaction" is one of the important thought of Laozi’s philosophy, this article starts from the "Inaction" wisdom of Laozi, by the interpretation of Tao to recognize the root of the environment confusion of modern social civilization that is contrary to the Tao of nature, destroy the harmony between man and nature. "Inaction" wisdom requires us not biased towards the laws of nature and social environment, to reflect on their own behavior, conform to the natural development, only through this way, we can achieve the harmonious environment.The content of this paper includes the following three parts:The first part mainly introduces "Inaction" wisdom of Laozi, which focuses on the background of "Inaction" wisdom and the specific meaning of the expression of "Inaction".Analyzing of misunderstandings about Laozi "Inaction" wisdom, and making an objective evaluation towards the wisdom.In the second part, we recognize the spirit of naturalism of Laozi through the analysis of the "Inaction "wisdom. First, Tao is the source of all things. The essence of Inaction is that Tao follows nature. Second, it is known from the relation between man and heaven.That man and nature have an inseparable relationship. We should also protect the rights of nature while we human beings develop. Again, the paper points out the practical method of "Never does anything",yet though it all things are done, that is when we are doing things we should comply with the laws of nature and be satisfied. Last it is shown from the value of life that "respecting life" is meaningful for human developments.The third part mainly discusses the role of Laozi’s "Inaction" wisdom in shaping the national ecological-consciousness. With emphasis on the analysis of the present situation of national ecological environmental consciousness. Pointing out the reality that the national ecological environmental awareness is low, the deep ecological moral consciousness is weak, and the participation of the national ecological civilization is in a low degree. Analyzing the reasons of the weak national ecological consciousness, pointing out that the foundation of economic development, the level of government management, and the backward awareness of ecological education are the three main reasons. Finally, through the specific phenomenon,analyzing the three application of Laozi’s "Inaction" wisdom in the improvement of national ecological consciousness.
