In recent years,spontaneous reasoning become a hot topic in the study of psychology. Spontaneous reasoning includes two processes: spontaneous trait inference and spontaneous situation inference, spontaneous trait inference refers to when we see other people’s behavior information, we will reasoning the qualities of others unconsciously,then forming impression about others; spontaneous situation inference refers to when we see other people’s behavior information, we will reasoning the situation factors unconsciously. spontaneous trait inference and spontaneous situation inference are both automatic, unconscious, and does not occupy the cognitive resources. In our daily process of love, conflict is very common.When conflict occur,people will explain it automatic, this explain is unconscious, we call it spontaneous reasoning. It seems that there are some connection between love conflict and spontaneous reasoning. This paper is to explore different gender roles of female college students’ different spontaneous reasoning in love conflict by experiments.The paper consists of two parts:Study one: Whether or not the female college students have spontaneous reasoning in the love conflict. This experiment is based on a 2(sentence type:experimental sentences and control sentences)×2(the type of probe: the characteristics of the word and the situation of the word) within subjects design. The type of sentences and the type of probes are within subject variables and the dependent variables is reaction time.The experiment shows that compared to the non implicit or situation sentences, the female college students use longer reaction time in the implicit or situation sentences.Study two: different gender roles of female college students’ different spontaneous reasoning in love conflict. This experiment is based on a 2(sentence type:experimental sentences and control sentences)×2(the type of probe: the characteristics of the word and the situation of the word)×2( gender roles: masculine and feminine)three factors mixed experimental design. Gender role is between-subjects variable, the type of sentences and the type of probes are within subject variables. Thedependent variables is reaction time.The experiment shows that compared to the male gender role of female college students, the female gender role of female college students have more errors and longer reaction time in the implicit sentences. And compared to the female gender role of female college students, the male gender role of female college students use longer reaction time in the situation sentences.To sum up the results of the above two experiments, the conclusions of this study are:(1)In the love conflict, the female college students exist both spontaneous trait inference and spontaneous situation inference.(2)In the love conflict, the female gender role of female college students are tend to have spontaneous trait inference.(3)In the love conflict, the male gender role of female college students are tend to have spontaneous situation inference.
