With the overall developmemt of the society, the exchanges among the countries have been more and more frequent, so English ability is one of the essential abilities for the higher vocational graduates. English in higher vocational colleges is the main part of the curriculum of higher vocational education, and it plays the crucial role for the higher vocational students to build their English ability. However, to a great extent the present objectives, the current contents, the current structure, the current teaching methods etc. can not meet the society demands and student needs, which makes the curriculum reform of Vocational College English becomes the hot issue. Therefore, it has been the key of the curricular reform in English in higher vocational colleges how to improve higher vocational students’ English ability and overall qualities. Meanwhile, General Education has greater and greater influence on the higher education and the more and more college curricular reforms have proved that General Education is suitable for college curricular to be reformed. Based on this, it has become the key way to reform the college English in vocational colleges by appling General Education.The aim of General Education is to develop students getting the comprehensive quality. The Vocational College English, which is a course to all students, meets the demands of the General Education, so it is practical to reform Vocational College English based on the General Education. Meanwhile the contents of Vocational College English involves in sever fields.On the theory of the integrated curriculum, Vocational College English can be an integrated course. However, the development includes the objective, the contents, the teaching methods and the evaluation. Therefore, the Vocational College English should be designed on the theory of General Education and on the theory of the integrated curriculum the new teaching methods and valuation methods should be created. Then the vocational college can help students improve the English level and master some cultural knowledge with EST and broaden horizons to be qualified talents. Based on the studies in our country and foreign countries and the investigation of the current status of Vocational College English in 6 higher vocational colleges, the paper quotes some related definitions given by famous experts like the concept of general education, the connotation of integrated curriculum etc. and sums up the problems and analyzises the reasons. The paper adopts questionnaire survey to students of 8 majors and 32 companies to find the combination point of students’ need and companies’ requirement and proposes that it is the way to reform Vocational College English the development of the development of the integrated English curriculum in Higher Vocational Colleges. With the beginning of the practicability of developing the new English curriculum from the perspective of General Education, the paper proposes the 4 principles and 3 methods,with which the general and specific objects, the curriculum contents, the structure are studied. The appropriate teaching methods and the types of evaluation are created. Therefore, the research can provide some reference for curriculum reform of Vocational College English.
