However, this novel has no Chinese version currently. There is no doubt that the lack of Chinese version will affect the Chinese readers’understanding of the author and his works. Therefore, choosing this novel as a translated text is a meaningful attempt.This is an English-Chinese translation practice report. This translation practice is conducted under the guidance of Newmark’s communicative translation theory.
