| Korean words are made up of original characters, C hinese characters, loanwords and compounds. Among them, there are over half of the C hinese characters in Korean language system and it shows the importance of them. This thesis selects 909 two-syllabic Sino-Korean homographs from the TOPIK6 vocabulary outline and find out the similarities and differences between the part of speech Chinese characters and Korean characters.This thesis mainly includes following respects:The first chapter summarize the subject of the research and significance of the study.The second chapter compares the part of speech of Korean and C hinese systematically and have a comparative study on the part of speech of the Sino-Korean homographs. This chapter compares the selected 909 words and finds out the difference of the part of speech between Chinese and Korean.In the third chapter, the same part of speech of Korean and C hinese is analyzed in details. A further analysis of C hinese characters which have the same part of speech as Korean characters are made.The fourth chapter focuses on the different part of speech between Korean a nd Chinese. A further analysis of Chinese characters which have the different part of speech as Korean characters are made.The fifth chapter briefly analyze the function of Chinese characters in Korean after adding affixes. After adding verbal affixes, the Sino-Korean homographs can turn into verbs. Meanwhile, the adding of affixes can also change the syntactic functions, for example, the causative sentences and the passive sentences. Adding adjective affixes after the root of the Sino-Korean homographs will turn the words into adjectives while adding adverbial affixes after the root of the Sino-Korean homographs will turn the words into adverbs.The last chapter made a conclusion of the thesis. |
