Benefiting from the economic globalization, the number of introducing technology activities is growing rapidly. Interpretation is the bridge of the participants, whose mother tongues are different, in technical meetings. The significance of interpretation is obvious, because its quality affects the listeners’comprehension of the information and knowledge delivered by the speakers. The author chooses the technical consecutive interpretation from English to Chinese as the corpus, the Effort Model as the theoretical guidance. The speech was delivered in 2013 which is a technical training lecture named "Nutrition and Feeding of Dairy Cattle". The speaker’s English pronunciation is featured with Denmark accent. In order to make the training more concise and vivid, the speaker uses PPT for its assistance. The author tries to analyze the impact of the speakers’ accent and the PPT to the interpreter in light of the Effort Model. The analysis of the accent aspect focuses on the speaker’s pronunciation, intonation and grammar errors. And the author tries to find out the translation burden laid by the PPT. The author analyzes the interpretation difficulties in the corpus and accordingly puts forwards some translation strategies in Chapter Four and Chapter Five. After the research and corpus analysis, conclusions can be drawn as follows:First, if the interpreter is not familiar with the speaker’s accent, the accent will occupy much more effort of the interpreter. For the rest parts of the translation activity, there will be insufficient effort for use. The quality of the interpretation will be decreased; second, for the interpreter, PPT is not only the assistance but also the obstacle in the translation process. If the interpreter cannot allocate the effort reasonably and coordinate each part, there will be a series of problems; third, because of the unreasonable allocation of effort, there are some problems in the translation quality, for instance errors and omissions. In order to improve the translation quality, the author offers some suggestions and strategies in each process.
