Taigu County of Shanxi province is located in the central of the province, picturesque scenery, rich products, ancient cultural and educational development make it the famous county of Shanxi. In the history of thousands of years, the wise laborious the people of Taigu create brilliant history, accumulate rich cultural heritage, leave valuable material and spiritual wealth, creating this Chinese historic city,at the same time it is the place of China’s ten largest intangible cultural heritage. Taigu county has many intangible cultural resources, above the county level intangible cultural heritage project has reached more than 90, above the provincial intangible cultural heritage items 12, including acrobatics class, sports entertainment, traditional Handmade skills and traditional Chinese medicine, which covers 5 national intangible cultural heritage projects. The occurrence and development of these cultural heritage can not separated from the development of the thriving of the business, the two are closely related, mutual promotion. Non material culture is the representation of local traditional culture, which is rooted in the folk mass. As a culture heritage which concentrates the regional culture and folk customs, and the integration of geographical environment and the cultural heritage, the development of the local culture, folk customs, dialect and other human environmental factors. The intangible cultural heritage in Taigu County fully demonstrates the profound historical and cultural heritage of Taigu and Jinzhong area, reflects the strong local folk customs, and is the essential part of Taigu people’s daily life and festival customs.This paper is based on the collection of the nonmaterial cultural heritage related data and the data collected from the field survey data, depending on the most representative of the intangible cultural heritage in a county, studies about all aspects of intangible cultural heritage of Taigu County. And it has the characteristics of its unique characteristics, living condition, inheritance, rheology and regional characteristics, and it is corresponding to the historical and cultural value, social spirit, artistic value, scientific education value and economic value. Under the background of multi culture and modernization, the intangible cultural heritage of Taigu County Heritage faces aging, lack of inheritors and raw materials, techniques to master new technology, new culture such as the impact of the crisis conditions. Finally, through establishing of legal protection, increasing financial revenue, establishing scientific and effective management mechanism, strengthening the propaganda and education and the construction of expert personnel, to carry out industrial operation and other ways to protect the intangible cultural heritage.
